COMPLEX CLINICAL DERMATOLOGY INTERNSHIP
Internship at the hospital for dermatology residents
This internship aims to deepen the knowledge and management of complex patients in dermatology in the «Unit of complex and minority dermatological diseases» of the Ramón y Cajal Hospital, in Madrid (Spain). The unit is run by dermatologists, internists, and internists working together and supported by another specialist. The rotation includes the dermatological emergency service, which is a benchmark in our city, hospitalized patients with serious dermatological diseases and outpatient consultation carried out jointly with the Internal Medicine Service.
The dermatological pathology that is usually included in our unit are complex pathologies such as autoimmune blistering diseases, severe psoriasis, severe dermatitis, severe skin reactions to medications, emergency dermatology, systemic diseases with cutaneous manifestations , neutrophilic dermatoses, autoinflammatory syndromes with skin implications, rheumatic diseases and a variety of severe inflammatory dermatoses. During the internship, the diagnostic tools and prescriptions necessary for the management of complex dermatological disorders will also be learned.

Internships could be mentored through a different area and conduct research and publications. Until the completion of the rotation, the internship would be well equipped to practice clinical dermatology and conduct research.

Eligibility Requirements: Residents in Dermatology in the European Union or abroad. CA medical license.
