Perfil – Dra. Montserrat Fernández Guarino
La Dra. Montserrat Fernández Guarino es dermatóloga, investigadora y profesora universitaria especializada en dermatología clínica, fotobiología, terapia fotodinámica (PDT), fotoprotección y prevención del cáncer cutáneo. Actualmente desarrolla su actividad asistencial en el Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal y dirige el Grupo de Investigación en Dermatología, Fotobiología y Prevención del Cáncer Cutáneo de la Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio.
Es doctora en Medicina por la Universidad de Alcalá con una tesis centrada en terapia fotodinámica aplicada a queratosis actínicas y nuevas indicaciones dermatológicas. Además, es profesora acreditada por ANECA y autora de más de 130 publicaciones científicas internacionales indexadas en PubMed.
Su trabajo investigador se centra en terapias basadas en luz, fototerapia, cicatrización, cáncer cutáneo no melanoma y dermatología inflamatoria. También participa activamente en proyectos de divulgación médica y formación para profesionales sanitarios a través de Madriderma y Madriderma Campus.
